A 14-year aviation journey brought us to this moment.
Growing up at Lake Tahoe, my aviation journey didn't start with a childhood dream or a local discovery flight — it started halfway across the world in the vastness of Africa. I caught the bug when a friend who flew as a Boeing 777 Captain invited me on an unforgettable adventure. We rented three Cessna 182s in Johannesburg and spent three weeks flying through South Africa, Mozambique, Malawi, Zimbabwe, and Botswana. Navigating endless African landscapes from a small aircraft hooked me instantly.
Returning to the United States with a burning passion for aviation, I jumped straight in, earning my certificates and ratings from private pilot all the way through my instructor credentials. Today, that same sense of adventure and love for exploring the skies drives everything we do here at Hornbill Aviation.
